LOGLINE
Rick Dale, a prodigious, but unmotivated ex Jiu Jitsu champion, aspires to become a best-selling author, but his success hinges on the woman he is desperately trying to avoid.

SYNOPSIS
Set in present-day Los Angeles, this Dramedy follows Rick Dale as he pursues his passion of becoming a writer. When a new student Tay comes in and upsets the balance of the predominately male Jiu Jitsu gym, Rick does everything in his power to try to scare her away. In the end, his hand is forced when he realizes she is an esteemed author he happens to love. In exchange for training, Rick bargains for Tay’s tutelage and expertise in the world of prose. Tay makes Rick ultimately realize that he is irrevocably bad at writing and has been shucking his true calling and responsibility of being the Jiu Jitsu champion he is.
