SYNOPSIS
WE WANT TO NEGOTIATE examines the United States “No Negotiations” policy by following the stories of families of American journalists and aid workers held hostage by ISIS in Syria. By pairing in-depth family interviews with an archival exploration into the roots of American policy regarding hostage situations, the film charts a course into a world the public isn’t normally intended to see.
