    ABOUT THE PROJECT

    LOGLINE
With 40 in the rearview mirror, a mother of two gets a career-making offer. All she has to do is chaperone a narcissistic literary legend 350 miles to an awards ceremony in Telluride. What could possibly go wrong?

    SYNOPSIS
Elizabeth Ford is the former assistant to legendary New York lit agent Vivian Traquair. Now 40, living in Denver with her workaholic husband Peter, two kids, a dog, and a sprawling unfinished manuscript, Elizabeth is on the verge of giving up her dream of being a writer.

Then she gets a call from Vivian who, for a small favor, will give Elizabeth’s debut novel the push it needs. It’s simple: drive bestselling author Storm Grandquist from Denver to Telluride where he is to receive the big (Brilliant! Ideas! Global!) Prize for Literature. Elizabeth’s in. How hard could it be?

Storm, however, knows a plot twist when he sees one and has figured out that Vivian is using this prize as a distraction so she can sell her agency. Desperate to salvage their 25 year-affair, he hatches a plan. He will use an unwitting Elizabeth to lure Vivian to their beloved mountain retreat, Rock Bottom, and try to win her back.

But on the road, Elizabeth’s creative fire is rekindled and she matches Storm at his game. So when they arrive at Rock Bottom the scene is set for a battle royale forcing us ALL to think about the choices we make, to earn the lives we think we deserve.
