ABOUT THE PROJECT
LOGLINE
A lonely, neurotic man inherits his dead neighbor’s cat. When the cat starts talking, their reluctant bond pushes him to face grief, time, and the life he’s been avoiding.
SYNOPSIS
THIS IS A STORY ABOUT A TALKING CAT follows Guy, a lonely, neurotic man in his early thirties whose carefully managed life is built around avoidance—of intimacy, change, and the sense that time is passing without meaning. His compulsive routines are designed less to improve his life than to leave it orderly should it suddenly end.
That equilibrium is disrupted when Guy agrees to care for his neighbor Irma’s cat, Morgana, during her surgery. When Irma unexpectedly dies, Guy is left with the cat and an unwanted responsibility that forces him into contact with a grief he doesn’t know how to claim.
Soon after, Morgana begins speaking—not whimsically, but as a dry, incisive presence that voices the thoughts Guy avoids. The cat becomes both companion and mirror, challenging Guy’s ideas about time, memory, and what it means to live rather than merely endure.
