    ABOUT THE PROJECT

    LOGLINE
    In 1888 a pinhole camera tracks the mysterious demise of an all-ladies ghost-hunting who believe a conspiracy that the infamous “Jack the Ripper” is not a man, but a violent phantom.

    SYNOPSIS
    SNAPSHOT is an innovative mystery-horror about misinformation. Stylistically bold, genre-bending and the first of its kind in cinema with a unique pinhole camera aspect ratio, it draws a disturbing parallel between the unregulated newspapers of Victorian London, and the fake news and misinformation of today.

    SNAPSHOT is the debut feature from London based production company, Silicon Gothic. Silicon Gothic is a manifesto-led company that “monstifies” modern issues into impactful horror narratives. Their recent work has seen them collaborate with top talent like Stephen Fry, deliver talks at the University of Cambridge, win awards in Parliament and partake in the BFI-backed ‘Business of Impact’ lab with Together Films.

    Silicon Gothic will be partnering with anti-disinformation enterprises and charities to deliver an effective impact campaign for SNAPSHOT, which targets horror fans to kickstart a wide-reaching conversation and examination of the dangers misinformation poses to our society, and our democracy.
