    LOGLINE
    When a pod of orcas goes viral for sinking sailboats off the coast of Spain, an eccentric marine biologist dives into the mystery, revealing a story not about revenge, but surprising complications of coexistence in a crowded ocean.

    SYNOPSIS
    Since 2020, a small pod of endangered orcas in Spain and Portugal has been damaging and sinking sailboats, igniting global fascination and transforming the animals into viral symbols of rebellion, resistance, and revenge against the 1%.

    But beneath memes lies a mystery that remains unresolved.

    Following veteran researcher Renaud de Stephanis who has spent decades studying these whales, #SinkTheRich traces the search to understand one of the strangest wildlife phenomena of our time.

    As scientists, sailors, and activists struggle to explain the behavior and determine how humans and whales can coexist, the story explodes online, drawing competing agendas and narratives into the fray.

    What begins as a scientific investigation gradually reveals something else: a world eager to assign meaning to the whales long before science can catch up.

    #SinkTheRich is a short documentary about coexistence, obsession, and what happens when a wildlife mystery becomes a cultural flashpoint.
