    LOGLINE
    A dramatization of the life story of Jan Smith, her anti-fairytale affair with a married man, and her ultimate redemption and transformation from recording artist to vocal coach of the superstars.

    SYNOPSIS
    RUN THE OTHER WAY, a feature drama film for global theatrical release, is inspired by the true story of Jan Smith, the Grammy nominated producer and vocal coach of Justin Bieber, Shania Twain, Usher, Nicki Minaj, Rob Thomas, Janet Jackson, Dwayne Johnson, and many more.

    Motivated by Jan’s autobiographical and cathartic memoir of soul-baring vignettes, the film captures her raw and authentic experiences yet transcends her book by illustrating the full story of her life.

    The film deals in universal archetypes with powerful themes of redemption, forgiveness, and the healing power of music. Jan’s story is a testament to the truth that personal healing comes as we turn outwards to love and lift others.
