ABOUT THE PROJECT
LOGLINE
Mild-mannered insurance salesman, Romesh, becomes an unwitting internet sensation, thrusting him into the spotlight and challenging his relationships as his ego balloons to epic proportions.
SYNOPSIS
Romesh is the living embodiment of “Nice guys finish last.” As an insurance expert at Dope Insurance (“Bomb-Ass Life Insurance for Teens and Tweens”), Romesh is used to getting pushed around.
Everything changes when Romesh’s bosses hide a shock collar in his chair during a live webinar, generating millions of views and turning Romesh into an overnight celebrity.
Romesh is quickly courted by Marty Fox (60), the fast-talking talent manager who guides him through his 15 minutes of fame complete with interviews, sponsorship offers, and free green room sandwiches.
Just as Romesh’s progression from pushover to prima donna reaches a pinnacle, his fame suddenly evaporates as fast as it arrived. But is the old Romesh gone forever?
