ABOUT THE PROJECT
LOGLINE
Youth who have died from addiction can not talk but addicted kids can teach and warn others about drug use.
SYNOPSIS
KIDS SAVING KIDS will save the lives of thousands of young people. 30 to 40% of high school students admitted to using illicit drugs at least once during 2014 and thousands died as a result.
Experience has taught us: young people may not listen to adults about the dangers of drugs. But they will listen to each other.
The film will find young addicts who will gladly tell other young people that they wish they were not an addict…that they wish they had never started…and they wish they could stop but can't. This is not a scripted film project. It is far from another after-school special.
This has never been done before—and it will work where lecturing won't. It will be young people, who are already living a life of hell, speaking directly to young people, in their own language, about the choices they make now…and the film will graphically and honestly display the consequences of the wrong choices.
We must act now. We can not wait for the government. The addicted teens will speak a language that no adult could say or write. A language that is not academically based but a language that is emotion based and that emotion is what will reach every person who sees this film. We do not know what the addicted kids will say to other kids…but we do know it will be powerful.
