LOGLINE
Two students must solve the clues to beat a desperate graduate student to a shocking historical discovery.
SYNOPSIS
Disenchanted Ally is partnered with adventurous Joe to refute a historically accepted narrative. Joe insists their college’s seal hides a Napoleonic mystery, but Ally favors an easier topic that won’t tempt them to break the honor code one week before graduating. But when they identify a French cipher within the seal, they realize its creator may indeed have been Napoleon’s most famous general, and that he may be leading them to a scandalous secret surrounding America’s founding document.??FOOTNOTE is Kevin Carlock’s directorial debut. His original screenplay attracted veteran cinematographer Tom Ackerman (Anchorman, Beetlejuice, Christmas Vacation), and they are preparing to film at Davidson College in North Carolina.
