ABOUT THE PROJECT
LOGLINE
Perched above the teeming streets of New York City; a shut-in man feuds with a flower delivery truck driver until the promise of a beautiful woman plants seeds of new possibility within him.
SYNOPSIS
Lev lives in Manhattan, not so far above the city streets he’s grown tired of and uninterested in. He spends the twilight of his life parked in front of a television screen watching old tapes he’s made of adventures past, loves lost, and memories had.
Alone in his sparse nest, Lev’s primary outdoor activity is his feud with a noisy truck driver, Stuart. Each morning, before dawn, Stuart delivers flowers to a shop just across the street from Lev. The gurgling and spitting of the truck disrupts Lev, so much so that each morning he storms downstairs to yell at and harass Stuart.
When an ankle injury forces Lev to spew his vitriol from his long unopened window, he lays eyes on Lana: A two-dimensional, lifelike rendering of a beautiful girl pasted atop the roof of Stuart’s delivery truck.
Lev is sedated by her beauty, and upon discovering she actually exists, he pursues a correspondence with her—hosted by Stuart. When a bouquet of flowers ceremoniously arrives at his doorstep, followed by a phone call, and an invitation from ‘Lana’—a new feeling begins to germinate within Lev.
