SYNOPSIS

FIGHT OR FLIGHT chronicles the journey of the first female pilot employed by Colorado Parks and Wildlife.

Drawn to flying as a means to flee her early trauma, she pursues a career in professional aviation and discovers she must first assemble the tools required to face her past and heal.

In an industry where matters of mental well-being are rarely discussed, Denise wants to raise awareness about how difficult events and experiences in early-life shape health and relationships. She aims to encourage a culture of openness and support in aviation around whole health awareness, and to stand in solidarity with survivors of sexual abuse and adverse childhood experiences.
