    ABOUT THE PROJECT

    LOGLINE
    When a young woman discovers she’s pregnant, she makes one last attempt to get help for her fiancé, a military veteran suffering from PTSD and prone to violence.

    SYNOPSIS
    The military can be a difficult environment, and mental health issues like Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, depression and anxiety are not uncommon. Storytellers and activists have worked hard to raise awareness about these issues, but it seems that the loved ones and caregivers who support the service members and veterans are often forgotten. DISSONANCE is a testament to their struggle and the burden they share.

    The film follows Claire, a 29-year-old, whose fiancé suffers from PTSD. The story explores the tension between the subterranean forces in their intimate relationships—love and psychological pain—loyalty and personal safety—intimacy and emotional isolation. The love within their relationship is undeniable, and the Claire’s loyalty to her partner is strong. But with a baby on the way, she must make a decision. Can she stay?
