DC/DOX is a new documentary film festival showcasing powerful, timely stories in our nation’s capital. DC/DOX brings together innovative visions, bold voices, and truth seekers in celebration of documentary cinema.

SYNOPSIS
Industry veterans Jamie Shor and Sky Sitney created DC/DOX as a new space to showcase vital stories and celebrate the best of documentary film in the nation’s capital. The first full edition of DC/DOX will take place June 2023 in marquee screening venues throughout Washington, DC. Marked by its relevance, broad intellectual range, and wide public appeal, DC/DOX will bring the best new documentaries of the season to the nation’s capital with filmmakers and special guests in attendance.

DC/DOX is carving out an essential space to bring communities together over a shared love of cinema, and to invite audiences to directly engage with filmmakers and film protagonists. This space will enlighten and entertain, launching important films into the marketplace. But it will do more than this: it will inspire deeper reflection and understanding, sometimes even activism, elevate important work, and advance new voices in the field.
