    As the Olympic Games descend on Los Angeles, tenants band together to resist evictions, revealing the global legacy of displacement and gentrification tied to the event. Through the gripping lens of those living it, this documentary exposes the human cost of the Olympic spotlight.

    SYNOPSIS
    AFTER OLYMPIA follows tenants in Los Angeles as they resist evictions triggered by the city’s preparations for the 2028 Summer Olympics. By examining their real-time struggles, the film explores the Olympic model’s legacy of displacement and gentrification, connecting these events to past host cities such as Tokyo, Rio, and London. Through intimate stories of residents and expert insights, the project questions the broader societal impact of mega-sporting events and the power dynamics involved. This documentary offers a critical lens on community resilience, grassroots organizing, and the intersection of global sports with local livelihoods.
