Collaborative Releasing Summit

While we are limited the Collaborative Releasing Initiative to documentaries for the time being, we are also planning what we’re calling the “Collaborative Releasing Summit” for late Q1 or early Q2 2017, which will be open to all filmmakers who have released films in the last two (2) years.

The Summit will be held in Los Angeles on a weekend day and will consist of filmmakers sharing, in 5- to 15-minute CASUAL/INFORMAL presentations, what they consider to be best practices in audience, community development, and DIY/DWO distribution. Anyone who cannot be physically present can Skype of FaceTime in, or share their ideas with us beforehand, and we will present on their behalf.

After the Summit, we will synthesize this information into an article to be posted on the TFC Blog and elsewhere.

If you are interested in participating, please fill out this (very very short) form and we’ll keep you informed of the forthcoming details. We welcome any ideas you may have as well!
