At TFC, we want you to know that we are, and always have been, conscientious about how we collect and manage your data. In that spirit, we would like to clarify the ways in which we use and manage your data.

1. HTML Email Policy.
   1. If you receive our monthly newsletter, we collected your contact data because you either signed up for the newsletter on the TFC or Selling Your Film websites, or joined TFC as a member.
   2. If you receive our programmer blasts, it’s because your organization or film festival has booked a film with us and you are a programming, shipping, or billing contact there. These messages pertain only to Festival Distribution.
   3. For the small number of you that specialize in acquisitions, we obtained your contact from a mutual colleague, a festival participant list, or a MIP guide. These messages pertain only to Sales.
2. Data Sharing Policy. We do not share your data with any other third-party company with the exception of our email marketing service provider iContact. You can read iContact's Data Privacy policy here. It does not appear that iContact uses client data for research purposes, but we have written to them and asked to be opted out, just in case.

If you would like to unsubscribe from our contact list, you may do so in any of our iContact messages, including this one, by clicking on “Manage Your Subscription” at the bottom. You will then be given the option to unsubscribe from any or all lists, or ask to never be contacted again.

For any of our filmmakers residing in the EU, we will soon follow up individually to update you with regard to our GDPR-compliant data policy.
