THE FILM COLLABORATIVE is pleased to announce the availability of Andrew Haigh’s new film WEEKEND for film festivals and non-theatrical bookings worldwide.

WEEKEND will have its World Premiere next week on opening night of SXSW, as part of the Emerging Visions section of the Fesitval.

Andrew’s last film GREEK PETE made a splash on the 2009 Festival circuit, but WEEKEND marks a complete stylistic departure for the filmmaker. This latest work is an emotionally charged narrative, a contemporary romance in the vein of the seminal 1996 film BEAUTIFUL THING.

TFC is also handling worldwide sales for this film.

ABOUT THE FILM:

On a Friday night after hanging out with his straight mates, Russell heads out to a nightclub, alone and on the pull. Just before closing, he meets Glen. And so begins a weekend—in bars and bedrooms, getting drunk and taking drugs, telling stories and having sex—that will resonate throughout their lives.
