A big shout out to TFC Board of Advisor James Jermanok for the release of the film EM that he produced along with famed film composer Harry Gregson-Williams. EM had its world premiere at the Seattle International Film Festival, where it won the Grand Jury Prize. EM (written and directed by Tony Barbieri) is about Josh Weathers is an aimless young man in his twenties who is looking for more out of life. Enter Amanda "Em" Helms, a vivacious and spirited young woman who lives life to the fullest. Instinctive mutual attraction brings them together and soon blossoms into a rich romance. But when the two decide to start a new life and a home together, secrets from the past emerge…

It was recently described as “Stunning and brilliant!!” by Mary-Charlotte Domandi of National Public Radio and “Intimate and haunting…Bergman-like” by John Hartl of The Seattle Time. The film went on to win The Criterion Collection’s International Inspiration Award, The International Film Guide Award, Best Producer Award at the Brooklyn International Film Festival, and Best Film Award at the Strasbourg International Film Festival.

EM was released domestically by Vanguard Cinema on October 25th
