Dear Frameline Filmmakers!

Congratulations on being programmed into Frameline!

We at The Film Collaborative (TFC) wanted to say hello, and hope to meet you this festival. We are at your service should you require or desire any distribution-education, consultation, or any specific services.

As many of you may know, we are a non-profit focused on distribution.

Some of our films/clients (many of which are in the festival) include: August, Hooters, How to Start Your Own Country, Jamie & Jessie Are Not Together, Leave it On the Floor, Midnight Son, Shut Up Little Man!, The Owls, Revenge of the Electric Car, Some Guy Who Kills People, Undertow, Weekend, We Have to Stop Now, and We Were Here, to name a few.

We invite you to check out our site and join our Facebook-For-Filmmakers, where you can network with your peers, share information, and learn from them. We invite you to check out our suite of online distribution-education tools, Distripedia™, (which houses the Distribution Blog, Distributor Report Card™ and Digital Distribution Guide™).

We’ve very proud of our LGBT Global Shorts Initiative under our FestSelects™ brand, the first volume of which was just released on DVD now and the iPhone App and a YouTube Rental Channel launching this month. Other mobile distribution is also in the works.

TFC is proud to be releasing a free multi-platform digital case study book, SELLING YOUR FILM WITHOUT SELLING YOUR SOUL presented by Prescreen: Case Studies in Hybrid, DIY, and P2P Independent Distribution. It’s co-authored by The Film Collaborative’s Orly Ravid & Jeffrey Winter, filmmaker/professor/consultant Jon Reiss, and social network marketing strategist Sheri Candler. Look for it this September.

We offer a menu of education and facilitation services and options that you can either enjoy à la carte or prix fixe. Whatever you choose, we are here to help.

We look will forward to seeing you soon. For meetings during Frameline please contact David Averbach or for more information, just email us.

Happy Frameline!
