Dear Sundance Filmmakers,

It’s been a year since we launched, and as we close out this year and look forward to the new one, we want to wish you a delightful holiday season and look forward to seeing you at Sundance in the new year.

TFC is proud to have already served in its inaugural year over 70 filmmakers directly via our distribution educational and facilitation services, and hundreds of filmmakers who keep up with our distripedia™ and other educational resources.

We're so thankful to have been embraced by the filmmaking community and we are as committed as ever to be in its service in the year to come.

You may be interested in reading the first of what will be three Sundance-themed blog entries on the TFC blog, which we recently posted, entitled “If I were a filmmaker going to Sundance….” The second will be written during Sundance and the third will be a post-Sundance analysis.

We have exciting things planned for 2011, beginning with the Palm Springs International Foreign Language Oscar initiative in January; the Black Film Initiative; the Global Queer Shorts Initiative; an environmental doc initiative with an activist component; more digital partnerships and offerings for filmmakers; expanding our educational services to be international with new board members in Europe and Asia; and working more closely with all of our board members who are instrumental in ensuring that we remain on the cutting edge of information and know-how.
