“A promising debut for [first-time directors] Thomas Beatty and Rebecca Fishman.”

The Hollwood Reporter

“A genuine and affecting look at friendship, commitment, and curiosity.”

— Steve Greene, IndieWire

“Equal parts funny and sad…Beautifully done.”

— Amie Simon, Three Imaginary Girls

“A beautiful portrait of how grief can erode relationships...Not many films with such an outrageous premise will resonate or stick with you the way that ‘Teddy Bears’ will…It sure feels awesome to watch such a good movie.”

— Jessica Baxter, Film Threat

“The term ‘dark comedy’ was made for movies like this. A story about friends helping a friend get over the death of his mother via some rather bizarre methodology is indeed is very dark and very funny. Plus it stars Gillian Jacobs from Community.”

— Aubrey Bach, Yay Today!

“Brilliant…truly original…you will be so glad you took the time to get to know these people.”

— Marc Morin, TwoOhSix.com

“Engaging…The cast is fantastic…It finds a way of growing on you.”

— Spencer Fornaciari,

ABOUT THE FILM:
TEDDY BEARS is a dark comedy about three couples who head to the desert to help their friend Andrew heal from the loss of his mother.

The friends plan a week of laughter and rejuvenation. Andrew plans a therapeutic orgy. Once this absurd and troubling request is revealed, their bonds begin to fracture in unexpected and often hilarious ways as they answer the question: how far would you go for a friend?

The backdrop to this adventure, the desert—a harsh, vast environment—is not a place where one can hide. Whatever trouble you bring with you will be exposed to the sun.
