Dearest TFC Board of Directors and Board of Advisors,

Hello again! We wanted to update you a tad because 2013 has been an exciting year for TFC films!

• Our ground-breaking doc THE INVISIBLE WAR was nominated for an Oscar, won an Independent Spirit Award, and has been pivotal in the ongoing investigations into sexual abuse in the military;
• Our James Franco-starrer (also co-directed by Franco) INTERIOR. LEATHER BAR. world premiered at Sundance and the Berlinale and has been making waves on the Festival circuit ever since;
• Our Cambodian doc A RIVER CHANGES COURSE won the World Cinema Jury Award at Sundance, as well as Best Doc at the San Francisco International Film Festival;
• Our bio-doc of the John Waters super-diva I AM DIVINE world premiered at SXSW and is set to play Sheffield Doc/Fest next month;
• Our riotous comedy G.B.F. world premiered at Tribeca Film Festival and is set as Closing Night at both Frameline and Outfest;
• Our environmental doc ELEMENTAL opened theatrically in NYC and is currently in theatrical release in 8 cities.

• Our narrative adaptation of Phillip K Dick's RADIO FREE ALBEMUTH launched its kickstarter for distribution funds last week and is doing very well. Feel free to contribute to it here.
• Other top Festival hits so far in 2013 include VALENTINE ROAD (Sundance, Hot Docs, Sheffield Doc/Fest), PIT STOP (Sundance and SXSW), BORN THIS WAY (Berlinale), and ALICE WALKER: BEAUTY IN TRUTH (Seattle International Film Festival);
• TFC's new Fiscal Sponsorship program is doing very well as is TFC Direct (our direct-to-digital platform initiative). We also now proudly have a DUNS number;
• Selling Your Film Without Selling Your Soul is still ever-popular and very helpful to filmmakers and we are presently writing a sequel of sorts, to be announced closer to release;

Other TFC developments:

• TFC continues to be invited to festivals and workshops worldwide and now that we have expanded the staff we are able to handle even more invitations. We are about to attend Sheffield in the UK, for example;
• As most of you may know, I am wrapping up a law degree and that reminds me to tell that TFC Legal is also growing and seems quite useful to filmmakers who want good, affordable legal services;
• We maintain and update our educational resources of course, always keeping up with the times.
