ABOUT THE PROJECT
A wide-range of inspiring individuals explore the nature of attention in this contemplative, visually striking film-essay.
SYNOPSIS / DESCRIPTION
In today's increasingly complex world, vulnerability to distraction is so common that some psychologists define it as a "cultural" disorder—one that impairs cognitive and emotional balance. Many of us lack confidence in our ability to focus, or feel we can't do anything about it. Yet these are stories that can be reversed with effort.
FOCUSED LIFE addresses the complex nature of attention through everyday people, whose voices, unpretentious and wise, inspire us to look at focus as something we are all capable of and need more than we know.
The film weaves together street interviews, vignettes and still-photography into an inspiring narrative about the mind's potential. As individuals across a range of disciplines reveal how and why they focus, a deeper connection between attention, well being and the underlying basis of spirituality unfolds.
